To setup your Shopify store with us, please follow the installation and setup instructions as below.

Note: To setup a Shopify store with us, you must have the login credentials for the Shopify store you wish to setup.

To setup your Shopify store follow the below steps. If you need help or have any questions please contact us. 

Step 1
In order to activate a Shopify store, we need to be connected to your store. You will see two data fields for API Key and Password that you need to obtain from Shopify.

Step 2
To obtain your credentials from Shopify you will need to login to your Shopify store and create a new Private App. To create a new Private App go to the left hand menu and click on Apps (as below).


Step 3
You may or may not have some private apps installed already however at this point you need to create a new private app (as below).


Step 4
Give the new private app a title (we suggest your call it Despatch Cloud), then click the save app button (as below).


Step 5
You will have to specify which permissions that you're allowing the Private App to access. Highlighted are the permissions that we require, as well as if its read, or read and write access.



Step 6
Your new private app will now be saved and you will be taken to a page that lists your authentication credentials (as below).



Step 7
Finally we need to copy the API key and API password, as well as the store URL (the .myshopify.com URL like below).

Note: Do NOT add http://, https://, www or any other prefix to the Shopify store URL.

Step 8
Now your Shopify authentication credentials and Store URL are inputted into Despatch Cloud the last step is to fill out the remaining data fields for the new Shopify store.

These fields are as follows:

ActiveEnable this option to activate this sales channel.
Sync StockEnable this option to synchronise stock for this channel
Remove Channel:Use this option to remove the sales channel (you will not want to do this if you are currently adding it, however it worth knowing how to remove a sales channel).

Note: To use this option select Yes from the dropdown, then click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page. The Sales Channel will then be removed, however orders from this channel will NOT be. 
Company LogoSelect the image you would like to appear on your invoice/packing sheet.
Company NameEnter the company name you would like to appear on your invoice/packing sheet.
Company Return AddressEnter the return address you would like to appear on your invoice/packing sheet.
Company Reg InfoEnter the company registration number you would like to appear on your invoice/packing sheet.
Company EmailEnter the email address you would like to appear on your invoice/packing sheet.
Company PhoneEnter the company phone number you would like to appear on your invoice/packing sheet.
Invoice TemplateEnter the invoice template you would like to use for your invoice/pacing sheet.

Note: You can upload/download invoice/packing sheet templates under the Settings > Print Templates menu option from the left hand menu.
Name TranslationEnable this option to add the local inventory item name to the invoice/packing sheet as well as the sales channel name.
(This option is very useful if your item names differ across your sales channels or if you're selling on international sales channels.)
Despatch Email ActiveEnable this option to send an email to the customer (with tracking data if applicable) when the order is despatched.

Note: Do not activate for any Amazon sales channels.
Email SubjectEnter the email subject how you would like it to appear to the recipient.
Email FromEnter the company name that you would like the recipient to see on emails.
Email AddressEnter the email address that you would like the recipient to receive sent emails from.
Email TemplateSelect the template you would like to use for emails sent.

Note: You can create/edit email templates under the Settings > Email Templates menu option from the left hand menu.


Step 9
Save the data you have input using the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page. You will see a green dialog at the top of the page to confirm the settings have been successfully saved (as below).

Step 13
Your new Shopify store is now integrated and will now attempt to collect your despatch ready orders from your integrated Shopify store. This is an automated process and runs every 30 minutes on the hour and half hour.

When you despatch an order, we will automatically update your new Shopify store with the despatch data. Again this is an automated process and runs every 3 minutes, however requests are queued so at busy times this can take longer. You can view your request queue at any time under the Status > Request Queue menu option from the left hand menu.
